YOUNGSTOWN---Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Friday at the Lane Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel, for Mr. Richard E. Grant, 63, of 1610 Butler Ave. who died August 11. Richard was born Jan. 28, 1939 in Youngstown, the son of Alva and Madge (Maggianetti) Grant and was a lifelong area resident. He was a machinist and truck driver for several companies, including T & T Logistics, R P S Delivery, General Fireproofing and Youngstown Welding. He was a member of the Argus Masonic Lodge and an Airforce veteran. Besides his wife, the former JoAnn Williams, whom he married in 1983 he, leaves two sons, Randal (Jill) and Richard (Judy) Grant Jr. both of Austintown, 4 step-sons, Tony (Beth) Granger of Hubbard, Joe (Sara) and Bob (Beth) Granger of Hampton, VA. Jim Granger of Youngstown and stepdaughter, Mary Granger of Campbell. A sister, Pamela Gbur of Austintown and half sister, Carmen Volpe of Austintown and 14 grandchildren. A sister, Diane Grant preceded him in death. Friends may call from 6 to 8 PM Thursday and one hour before services Friday at the funeral home, where the Masons will conduct a prayer service 6:00 PM Thursday.
