Private services will be held at a later date for Richard Johns, 57, of Liberty Township who passed away Monday morning in Hospice House. Richard was born March 29, 1953 in Youngstown the son of Harold and Gladys (Smith) Johns. He was a graduate of Ursuline High School and was an Army Veteran. He worked for Holland Oil as the Loss Prevention Director for several years. Richard was a member of St. Patrick Church; his hobbies included camping and golfing. He leaves his wife the former Amy Whitely whom he married September 6, 1995, four children; Ian Johns of Idaho, Derrick Johns, Leah Brown both of Wooster, and Dante Johns at home, two grandchildren; Colton and Afton Brown of Wooster, and three brothers; Charles Johns of Elizabeth, PA, Gary Johns of Butler, PA, and Ron Johns of Canfield. Besides his parents, Richard was also preceded in death by one brother Bud Johns. There are no calling hours. Arrangements were by Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel.
