Richard P. Hanley, 74 of North Jackson died early Friday morning, July 7th at his residence. Richard was born May 6, 1949 in Youngstown, a son of the late Martin and Anna (Hrin) Hanley, Sr. and was a lifelong area resident. He graduated from Austintown Fitch High School in 1967 and had attended Youngstown State University. Richard was an assistant manager for the former Sparkle Market in Austintown for many years. He then worked as a manager for Marc’s Stores, Austintown for several years before retiring. He was an avid fisherman and loved to fish. He also enjoyed sports, especially the Cleveland sports teams, the Indians, Cavaliers and the Browns. He also liked college football and cheered for the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Notre Dame. Richard leaves two sisters, Patricia Hanley of North Jackson and Nancy Gentile of Austintown. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Daniel Hanley, James Hanley, Robert Hanley and Martin J. Hanley, Jr. There will no services or calling hours.
