Richard P. Mike

YOUNGSTOWN-- Memorial services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, July 6, at the Lane Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel for Mr. Richard P, Mike, 81 of 6125 Oak St. Ext. who died Wednesday morning in Forum Northside. Mr. Mike was born July 20, 1920 in Youngstown, the son of Peter and Sadie Johns Mike and was a lifelong area resident. He had worked as a foreman for Youngstown Sheet and Tube 32 years and was in maintenance for the JC Penney company 20 years before retiring in 1990. He had been a member of the Moose Lodge on South Ave. in Youngstown many years. He is survived by his wife, the former Margie Kegley, whom he married April 20, 1946, two sons, Richard L. Mike of Dumfries, VA and James H. Mike of Austintown. four grandchildren, Leigh Ann Reed, Richard P., Jared F., Joshua L. Mike, two great grandchildren, Kenneth L. and Jason D. Mike. Richard was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters. Friends may call from 1:00 PM until time of service at the funeral home. The family requests that memorial tributes take the form of donations to the American Cancer Society.
