Richard Pagano, 62 Prayers will be 9:15 a.m. Friday at Lane Family Funeral Home, 5797 Mahoning Ave., Austintown Chapel followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church for Richard Pagano, 62 of Canfield who passed away unexpectedly Sunday, March 10th at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Youngstown. Rick was born December 10, 1956 in Newark, New Jersey, a son of Joan Pagano and the late Frank Pagano. He was a graduate of Seton Hall University with a major in political science and earned his masters degree in computer science. He worked as an IT manager at various companies including WITCO and Phar-Mor. Rick was an active member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Youngstown, where he faithfully volunteered at monthly spaghetti dinners and the Italian festival. Rick loved vacationing, specifically cruising and Disney World with his family. He loved to pass the time by golfing and taking care of his two beloved dogs, Ellie and Cooper, and rooting for every New York sports franchise. Most importantly, Rick was a loving, compassionate father and loved spending time with his family. Rick is survived by his loving wife, Dr. Madeleine Ortiz, whom he married on October 22, 1988; two sons, Dr. Brian Pagano and his wife Christina of Cincinnati and Dr. Mark Pagano of Columbus; his brother, Thomas (Deborah) Pagano of New Jersey; his mother, Joan Pagano of New Jersey; three nieces, Alyssa, Gina, Jennifer; three nephews, Matthew, Thomas, Christopher and many other loving relatives and friends. Friends may call on Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at Lane Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel. The family suggests any material tributes to take the form contributions to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 343 Via Mount Carmel Ave., Youngstown, OH 44505.
