A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 AM Tuesday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church for Rita Catherine Dimick, 90, formerly of New Road in Austintown, then Berlin Center before moving back to Austintown, who passed away Friday evening in Austinwoods Nursing Home. Rita was born March 12, 1922 in Youngstown the daughter of Clarence and Barbara (Halt) Carraher. She was a homemaker, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Rita was a former member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, and a former member of St. Catherine Church in Lake Milton, a former member of St. Catherine's Senior Citizens as well as a member of the Senior Citizens of Westchester Apartments. Her husband Morris Dimick whom she married October 15, 1940, passed away November 17, 1979. Rita leaves four children, Rita Jean (Gene) Cecil of Austintown, Barbara Ann Finnick of Lowellville, Beverly Sue Koehnle of Zanesville, and John Joseph (Cathy) Dimick of Campbell, and one brother Norman Carraher of Mt. Morris, MI, as well as 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson. Besides her parents and husband, Rita was preceded in death by one son Morris James Dimick, also 2 sisters and 4 brothers. Friends may call from 5 to 8 PM Monday at the Lane Family Funeral Home Austintown Chapel where closing prayers will take place at 9:30 AM on Tuesday.
