Robert D. Bowskill

Robert D. Bowskill, age 99 passed away Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at Continuing Healthcare in Mineral Ridge. Robert was born October 12, 1919 in Coatbridge, Scotland to parents; John D. and Christina (Davidson) Bowskill. Robert served in the British Army as a Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineer from 1939 to 1966. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Mineral Ridge since April of 1979. He was ordained as an elder in 1981 and a deacon in 1992. Robert was a member of Sincerety Lodge No. 694 F & A.M. Prior to retirement, Robert worked at General Motors in Lordstown as a machine repairman. Survivors include his two step-grandchildren and 5 step great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Christina Bowskill, whom he married in 1955 and died in 2014, his parents, his brother John G. Bowskill, his stepson John Murray and his daughter; Denise Lynn Bowskill. Friends will be received at the Lane Funeral Home, Mineral Ridge Chapel on Monday, October 29, 2018, from 10-11 AM. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 11:00 AM with Reverend Jamie Milton officiating; a Masonic Service will be held prior to the service. Burial will take place at Kerr Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution may be made in Roberts name to First Presbyterian Church, Mineral Ridge.
