Robert Elton "Bob" Stewart, 86 of Sharon, departed this earthly life in the loving arms of his family on Wednesday afternoon, May 17, 2017, after an extended illness, at UPMC Horizon in Farrell, Pa. He was born May 21, 1930 in Sharon, Pennsylvania the son of the late James and Mildred Zedaker Stewart. He was a lifetime Sharon resident. Bob was a 1949 graduate of Sharon High School. He was employed his whole working career at Bell Telephone, where he retired from. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Liberty. Bob was preceded in death May 28, 2010 by his eternal companion, Dolores "Dee" Louden Stewart, whom he married July 14, 1951. One grandson, Levi Stewart, his sister, Betty Costello and his daughter-in-law, Mary Alice Stewart also have all preceded him in death. Surviving are one daughter, Terri (Dave) Cocain of Edgewood, New Mexico; three sons, Daniel Stewart of Indianapolis, James (Lynn) Stewart of Freedonia, Pa. and Mark Stewart of Sharon; his grandchildren who were privileged to have him as a Grandpa, Natasha and Joe Porter, Jessica and Lou Popovitch, Luke, Jacob and Michael Cocain and one great granddaughter, Amelia Ruth. A service in celebration of Bob's life will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Lane Family Funeral Homes - Madasz Chapel in Brookfield, where the family will receive friends from 10:30 until 11:30 a.m. prior to the service.
