Robert H. Kellar Sr., 82, of Warren, OH died Saturday, March 18, 2006 at 4:35PM in the North side Medical Center in Youngstown, OH after an extended illness. Born April 11, 1923 in Cleveland, OH, he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John and Anna (Culver) Kellar Sr. The patriarch of the Kellar family, he was a loving husband, brother, father, and grandfather. Bob retired in 1982 from Thomas Steel Strip Corp where he worked as a roller in the mill for 39 years. While at Thomas Steel, Bob served three terms as union president of local 3523 as well as various other offices for the union. He was past governor of the Trumbull Moose lodge #186, was active with the Civilian Conservation Corp., and was President and a founding member of the Pymatuning Valley Lakers Touchdown Club. Bob loved life! He enjoyed camping, yard work, gardening, dancing, painting, going to flea markets on Saturday mornings with his sons, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family at family dinners and get-togethers. Bob married Dorothy Irene Younger who preceded him in death July 21, 1990. Together they shared nearly 50 years of marriage and had 8 children. He will be sadly missed by his wife Margaret “Peggy” (Fodor) Kellar of Warren whom he married May 21, 1994. He was preceded in death by a son Robert H. Kellar Jr. on January 10, 1996. He is survived by his daughter-in-law Barbara Kellar of Lordstown, and 7 children, Joseph(Katherine) Kellar of Champion, Richard(Rose) Kellar of Cleveland, TN, Carolyn(Kenneth) Saltzmann of Kinsman, Janice Kapis of Howland Twp., Larry(Kathleen) Kellar Sr. of Leavittsburg, Michael(Shari) Kellar of Girard, and Jeffrey(Darla) Kellar of Williamsfield, grandchildren, Bobby, Brian, Bill, Ted, Doug, Pam, Richard Jr., Vicky, Kim, Tracy, Kimberly Sue, Larry Jr., Kristie, Michael Jr., Courtney, and Tessa, 18 great grandchildren, three brothers Norman(Mick) Kellar of Mecca, Joseph(Lillian) Kellar of Champion, Harley Kellar of Warren, a sister Virginia(Albert)Laricca of Cortland, sisters-in-law, Daisy Kellar of Newton Falls and Donna Kellar formerly of Warren, several nieces and nephews and countless friends. He was preceded in death by two grandsons, Jarrett and Joseph Kellar Jr., two brothers, Leroy and John Kellar Jr., and a sister-in-law Nellie Kellar. Calling hours will be held Monday, March 20, 2006 from 6:00 to 9:00PM at the Roberts-Clark Chapel. Rev. Kelly Faulstich and Pastor Floyd Smith will conduct a funeral service on Tuesday, March 21, 2006 at 11:00AM at the funeral home. Burial will be held in the Braceville Twp. Cemetery.
