Robert K. Enlow

Funeral services celebrating the life of Robert K. Enlow will be held at Noon on Wednesday, October 18, at Old North Church. Robert went home to be with the Lord at the age of 78, on Tuesday, October 10, while on vacation in Myrtle Beach. Robert was born June 23, 1939 in Chicago , IL, the son of Robert K . Sr. and Doris Mae (Shiery) Enlow. He was a 1957 graduate of Hargrave Military Academy and upon graduation entered the U.S. Air-force, and proudly served our country. After he was discharged from service, Robert spent his professional career as a sales representative in the manufacturing industry. He was a member of Old North Church where he was past chairman of the finance committee and on the board of trustees at the church. Robert loved his family, swimming, and trips to Myrtle Beach. He was also an avid bird lover and enjoyed bantering and teasing with his family and friends. He leaves his wife the former Martha C. Metzinger, whom he married July 26, 1975, two sons, Richard O. (Geri) Enlow of Salem and Rodney L. Enlow of Canfield, two daughters, MaryJo (Charles) Deaton of Monroe and Donna D. Cook of Bellvue, as well as nine grandchildren, Rebecca, Ricky, Caitlyn, Rachel, Ben, Morgan, Trevor, Brian, and Emily, one great granddaughter, Olivia. Robert also leaves three brothers, Gary L. Enlow of Elyria, Harry R. (Ardith) Enlow of Vermilion, and James R. Thather of Woodridge, IL. Besides his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his step-mother, Lyritt M. Enlow, and two granddaughters, Shelby Lyn, and Faith Elizabeth. Friends may call from 5 to 8 PM Tuesday at the Lane Funeral Home, Canfield Chapel and again from 10 AM until 11:45 Wednesday at Old North Church where services will begin at Noon.
