Robert “Bobby” W. Keller, 70, of Youngstown, Ohio passed away on April 3rd, 2024 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born the son to the late Robert Keller and Mary Ann (Pondillo) Keller in Youngstown, Ohio on June 13th, 1953. He was a 1971 graduate of Chaney High School and spent 36 years working as an orderly and an assistant in orthopedic surgery until his retirement in 2015.
Robert enjoyed many activities throughout his life. He was an active member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church until its closing, member of the DARE program and the Austintown Seniors Group, was an avid bike rider who enjoyed hitting the trails, swimming and taking classes at the Jewish Community Center, and all around enjoyed keeping in shape. He was also known to be a great dancer, the Jitterbug being his signature dance, as well as taking cruises which was a favorite past time of his. Bobby was a fun loving person who will long be remembered by those who knew and loved him.
Robert leaves behind to cherish his memory, his siblings, William (Mary) Keller of Boardman, Linda (Jay) Jones of Youngstown, and Jerry (Diane) Keller of Austintown; nieces and nephews John, Joseph (Brandy), Nicolas, Elise (Zack), Ashley (Andrew), Ramsey, and great nieces and nephews, Joey, Jayden, and Lydia.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends and family may call from 4pm to 6pm on Tuesday April 9th, 2024 at Lane Funeral Home- Austintown Chapel with a service to follow given by Pastor Allen Swast.
The family would also like to offer a sincere and heartfelt thank you to the Hospice of the Valley for their kind and compassionate care, as well as the nurses at Mercy Health.
