Robert (Bob) R. Roth 71 Berlin Center---Bob passed away at his home on December 5, 2002. Mr. Roth was the Co-founder of Zim’s Crack Crème, made in Berlin Center, where he owned and operated Perfecta Products, and Berlin Industries, Veterinary Products, in Berlin Center. Mr. Roth was an avid harness horseman, owning, training, and driving his horses for 40 years. He reluctantly retired from driving at age 65, while still being an owner and breeder. His many careers and business ventures through the years include; owning and operating Roth Pharmacy, after graduating from Ohio Northern University College of Pharmacy in 1956. Mr. Roth partnered with the late Keith Riggs in Riggs and Roth Auctioneers, Canfield Auto Auction, and Riggs and Roth Auto Sales. Auctioneering was another of Mr. Roth’s talents. He served on the Jackson-Milton School Board, being President for several terms. He moved from the area in 1970 to South Florida, owning and operating Hollywood Pharmacy. Mr. Roth returned to the Mahoning Valley in 1973 to his farm in Berlin Center. He was a loyal supporter of local businesses and schools. Mr. Roth credits the late Walter Zimmerman for being his mentor, as well as, being the other inventor of his “Zim’s” Crack Crème. He began his many careers at Zimmerman’s Pharmacy in Austintown. Mr. Roth served his country in the Air Force as a radio operator during the Korean War. He was awarded the German Occupation Medal. He is survived by his beloved wife Deborah of 30 years; His oldest son Robert J. of Nipomo, CA’ son Jason and son Joseph, and daughter Cheryl Roth all of Berlin Center, who were fortunate to have shared his love. He is survived by his sister Betty A Donald of Boardman, and a half brother Patrick Karns of Salem, OR; 8 grandchildren; and one great grandson. Mr. Roth is preceded in death by two brothers William and Theodore Roth. Robert was born in Toronto, OH to the late Theodore and Margaret R. (Bishop) Roth. Mr. Roth loved and was loved greatly by the huge family he always gathered near him. He had many friends, employees and business associates who were cared for as he did his family. His family is ever grateful for the love, care, and joy brought to him by his friend and care giver Teresa Reed. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all he so warmly welcomed into his home and heart. Friends may call at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel Sunday evening from 4-8 PM where the funeral service will take place Monday morning at 11AM.
