Robert W. Sprankle, Sr.

Robert W. “Bob” Sprankle, Sr. of 1429 State Route 7, SE, Hubbard, Ohio, died on Saturday (9-16-2006) in the Emergency Room of Sharon Regional Health Care System. He was 59. Mr. Sprankle was born in Youngstown, Ohio on March 22, 1947, a son of Edward and Nellie (Bykowski) Sprankle. Bob was a Sheet Metal Worker for Local #5 and was the owner / operator of the Beetle Haus Auto Sales & Service located in Girard, Ohio. He also owned & operated Sprankle Concessions for the past 18 years. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Hubbard, OH, and in his spare time, he enjoyed hunting & fishing and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Survivors include: his wife, Margie A. (Bickerstaff) Sprankle, whom he married 2-19-1966; his children, Robert Jr. & his wife Sharon, Girard, OH, Karen Zagorec & her husband Joseph, Hubbard, OH, and Jacob Sprankle, Hubbard, OH; his siblings, Dorothy Jean Yuhas-Furden, Austintown, OH, Arnold L. Sprankle & his wife Hope, Austintown, Helen M. Dixon & her husband Dave, Heaters, WV, and Sue Summerville & her husband Randy, Austintown; his grandchildren, Jessica L., Joshua R., Kristina M. Sprankle, and Annie Zagorec; and a special nephew, Jimmy Sprankle. He was preceded in death by his parents; by his daughter, Krissie Lynn Sprankle; and by his brothers, John & Edward Sprankle. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday at St. Patrick Catholic Church, with Rev. Timothy O’Neill, Pastor.
