Romona B. Hood

Romona B. Hood, 74 McDonald Memorial services will be 2 pm Tuesday at the Open Door Community Church in McDonald for Romona B. Hood, who passed away Friday evening at Northside Medical Center. Romona was born December 10, 1937 in Gulfport, MS a daughter of the late Romar J. and Lugenia (Netto) Cuevas. A homemaker, she was an active member at the Open Door Community Church. Her husband Leroy B. Hood, whom she married March 6, 1954, passed away February 2, 2000. Romona will be sadly missed by her four sons: R. Blaine (Tammy) Hood of Algonquin, IL, Bruce Hood of Oklahoma City, OK, Scott (Jennifer) Hood of Marion, IL and Chris (Penny) Hood of Canton;two sisters Shirley (Bill) Hickman of Long Beach, MS and Beverly Young of Gulfport, MS; one brother: Ron Cuevas of Gulfport, MS and five grandchildren: Jennifer Cyran, Kathleen Harnish, Ashley George, Mindy Hood and Jessie Hood. Besides her parents and husband, Romona is preceded in death by three brothers: Buddy Cuevas, Lonnis and Cortez Ladner. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association in Romona's name. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lane Family Funeral Home Austintown Chapel.
