Ronald Frederick Cameron

Ronald "Ron" F. Cameron, 68, passed away on Friday, January 25, 2019, surrounded by loved ones at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown. Ron was born December 17, 1950 in Indiana, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Robert F. and Roberta F. (Sachs) Cameron, and grew up in Mineral Ridge. Ron proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Prior to retirement, he worked for Packard Electric for over 30 years. Ron loved spending time with his family, playing Pinochle, fishing with his grandkids, woodworking, golfing, and landscaping. He was an avid sports fan and loved rooting on the Browns, Indians, and the Buckeyes. Ron will be remembered for his quick wit, warm hugs, and the way he loved to share a laugh. He is survived by his wife, Linda S. (Bell) Cameron, whom he married November 25, 1978 and celebrated over 40 years of marriage; his children Craig (Julie) Cameron of Mineral Ridge, Jessica (Luke) Boccio of New York, and Becky (Jack) Savage of Boardman; his grandchildren Brooklyn and Brayden Boccio of New York; his siblings Karen (Dick) Murray of Florida, Scott (Debbie) Cameron of Mineral Ridge, Randy (Jeri) Cameron of Mineral Ridge and Dawn Cameron of Mineral Ridge; and his loyal dog Toby. Ronald is preceded in death by his parents. The family will receive relatives and friends, Tuesday, January 29, 2019 from 5:00-7:00 PM, at Lane Funeral Home, Mineral Ridge Chapel immediately followed by a Memorial Service at 7:00 PM.
