Ronald Merl Grafton

A funeral service will be held for Ronald M. Grafton at 11:00 AM Saturday at Zion Lutheran Church, 3300 Canfield Road, Youngstown, Ohio 44511. Ronald passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at the age of 84. Ronald was born September 27, 1934 in Clinton, South Buffalo Township, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Lewis P. and Dora C. (Stenstrom) Grafton. Prior to retirement in 1997, he was a sales manager for GC Murphy, later Ames Department Stores. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge Dallas #231, former member of Mill Creek and Salem Kiwanis and President of Rotary in Donora, Pennsylvania. He was one of the founders of the West Side Colts in Austintown. Ronald enjoyed sports, especially the Steelers. He was a talented basketball player in highschool. He enjoyed reading, traveling, and keeping in touch with his friends. He is survived by his children Cynthia Crisafi of Austintown, William (Tracy) Grafton of New Jersey, and Mark Grafton (Jade) of Akron; his sister June Hutchison of Warren; and his grandchildren Sean (Bernadette) Grafton, Paul (Alex) Crisafi, Patrick Crisafi, Amanda (Justin) Austin, Garrett Grafton, and Mitchell Grafton. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Ann, whom he married May 25, 1956 and died November 13, 2018; his siblings Lewis Grafton, William Grafton, Norman Grafton, and Elaine Gustafson. The family will receive relatives and friends Friday, March 29, 2019 from 5:00-7:00 PM at Zion Lutheran Church, and Saturday, March 30, 2019 from 10:00-11:00 AM.
