LORDSTOWN----Funeral services will be held 3 PM Monday at the Lane Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel for Rose Switka, 92 of Hallock-Young Rd, formerly of Lucius Ave, Youngstown, who passed away Friday morning at her residence following a sudden illness. Rose was born July 28, 1910 in Manhattan, NY, the daughter of Lukacs and Rose Kenyo Cegledy, coming to this area as a child. She had formerly worked for the Weatherbee Coat Company. Rose was a lifelong member of the American Hungarian Reformed Church and was the churches Ladies Aid Secretary and Treasurer.. She was a member of Friendship Sisterhood Dames of Malta, and a member of the Miriam Chapter #278 Eastern Star. Rose also attended the Ohltown United Methodist Church. Her husband, Joseph Switka, who she married Nov. 28, 1929, died October 26, 1993. She is survived by three daughters, Joan (Russel) Gearhart of Lordstown, Carole (Barry) Young of Baltimore, MD and Pamela (Andrew) Lovasz of Sayreville N.J. five grand children and 6 great-grandchildren. A granddaughter (Noel), sister Ethel Gresko and brothers Lucas and Frank Cegledy preceded her in death. Friends may call from 1 to 3 PM at the funeral home. The family requests that memorial contributions take the form of donations to the Ohltown United Methodist Church Memorial Fund.
