Ruth D. Smith

Ruth D. Smith, 81, passed away at Cleveland Clinic on January 13, 2019. Ruth was born in Ellwood City, PA, on July 1, 1937 to Steven & Helen (Minett) Hulick. She retired from GATX. On March 25, 1980, Ruth was united in marriage to John Smith who survives. When Ruth took some time for herself, you could be sure to find her enjoying the bright lights of the area casinos; trying her hand at the slot machines. At home she was always in the kitchen cooking for her family. Ruths world centered around her family and she will be remembered for being a loving wife, mother and grandmother. A funeral service for Ruth will be held on Friday January 18th, 2019 at 12:00 noon at Lane Funeral Homes, Madasz Chapel, Brookfield where the family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Besides her husband, Ruth is survived by her children Kathleen Brown, Michelle Bare-Agresta, Robert (Christine) Bare, James (Gwen) Bare, John Smith, Frank (Pam) Smith, Daniel (Brandi) Smith and Wendy (Stephen) McBrayer; 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Ruth was preceded in death by her grandson Johnathan Yensick; her son-in-law Donald Brown; her twin brother Robert Hulick; her brother Steven Hulick; her sisters Grace Knight, Carol Shaker, Dolly Zaben and Georgia Peren, and her parents.
