Ruth Eileen "Boots" Hiller

Ruth E. "Boots" Hiller, age 94 of Warren and formerly of Lordstown, died on Wednesday morning, September 10, 2014, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. She was born November 14, 1919 in Dover, Ohio the daughter of the late Grover and Christine Swope Kennedy. She had been a Lordstown resident since 1948. Boots was a homemaker all of her married life. She was a member of Lordstown Christian Church and a former member of the Red Hat Society. Boots is survived by one son, Timothy F. Hiller of St. Clair Shores, Mich.; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; one sister, Jane Downey of New Philadelphia, Ohio and one brother, Grover "Fuzzy" Kennedy of Dover, Ohio. Her husband of 52 years, Foster Earl Hiller, whom she married February 20, 1938 preceded her in death in 1990. One daughter, Carol Ann Gregory; one son, Charles W. Hiller and three sisters, Peg Raiff, Dorothy Davis and Margaret Henry also have all preceded in death. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Lordstown Christian Church where the family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service Saturday morning. The Rev. Dr. Bernard M. Oakes will officiate. Burial will be at Lordstown Village Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to Lane Family Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark Chapel in Warren.
