Ruth M. Candela

A service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, November 14th at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel for Ruth M. Candela, 94, of Austintown, who passed away Wednesday afternoon November 11th, surrounded by her family and friends. She was born March 8, 1921 in Cleveland, Ohio, a daughter of the late Raymond and Margaret Kightlinger. She was married to Steve T. Candela. For many years, they managed Wedgewood Lanes, where she taught bowling to people of all ages. She enjoyed traveling, bowling, playing cards, and especially being with her family. Over the years, she had many pets that she loved dearly. Ruth is survived by her sister in law, Phyllis Trinkaus; her brother in law, Edward Ianazone; a grandson in law; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who loved her dearly. In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband; her son, Michael L. Candela; her granddaughter (the love of her life), Lee Ann Candela Nutt; her sister, Marlea Pointer; sister in laws, Marie Ianazone and Rose Zone; and her brother in laws, Pio Zone and Eugene Trinkaus. God Bless her. She lived a wonderful life. She is now united with the people she missed the most. Family and friends may call from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, November 13th at the Lane Family Funeral Homes Austintown Chapel. The service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday at the funeral home.
