Services celebrating the life of Sally Lutes will be held at 11am Friday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel. Sally was born March 15, 1933 in Warren, Ohio the daughter of Basil and Mildred (Price) Daugherty and was a lifelong area resident. Sally and her husband Rod owned and operated the former North Jackson Isaly Restaurant for 28 years before retiring in the mid 1980s. Sally was a member of the First Federated Church in North Jackson and was a member of the Lunch Bunch of the church. Sally was a great "Mom" and Best Grandmother and a Best Friend to many. She will be sadly missed by her children; Renee( David ) Girton of Lake Milton, Bonny (Alan) Hemphill of North Jackson, Jennifer Lutes- King of Chardon, Roderick H. Lutes Jr.(Kim) of Lake Milton, 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. She also leaves her siblings Gilbert Daugherty of Destin FL., Babs Kriedler of Columbus, Harry Daugherty of Toledo, Doris Waller of Austintown. Danny Daugherty of North Jackson and Gayle Young in FL She also leaves her Beloved Dog "Oscar." Sally was preceded in death by her husband Roderick H. Lutes Sr. whom she married March 1, 1952 and who died May 5, 2005 and her parents. Family and friends may call from 5-8pm Thursday at the funeral home. The Lutes family requests that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of the Valley in Sallys name.
