Sandra "Sandy" Summers

CHAMPION- Sandra "Sandy" E. Summers, age 54, passed away July 1, 2018 at the Hospice House in Poland after a courageous battle with Breast Cancer surrounded by her family. Sandy was a participant in an experimental research trial for Breast Cancer with the Cleveland Clinic. Sandy was born March 25, 1964 in Warren, Ohio. She was a 1982 Graduate of Champion High School, she also graduated from the Trumbull Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. Sandy was a Registered Nurse specializing in pediatrics with the Columbiana County Mental Health Board. She was a proud mother, dedicated daughter and sister. Her family was paramount. Sandy was an avid fan of the Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Browns, and The Ohio State University Buckeyes! She loved to cook and trying new recipes. She is survived by her parents, Thomas B. and Barbara Ann Armstrong of Champion, her son Thomas D. Summers, her brother Todd (Denise) Armstrong, several Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, nephews, one great niece, cousins, friends, and her K-9 companion, Molly. Friends and family may call 10-11AM Thursday, July 5th at the Lane Funeral Home, Roberts-Clark Chapel, 180 Garfield Dr. NE in Warren, where the funeral will begin at 11AM with Pastor Bonnie Verdin Officiant. Private interment in Sager Memorial Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Hospice House.
