Shirley Jean (Goodman) Buck

Shirley Jean (Goodman) Buck, 87, of Youngstown, passed away on December 12th, 2024 at Hospice House in Poland, Ohio. She was born in Rimersburg, PA on December 17th, 1936 to the late James Goodman and Velma (Culbertson) Goodman.

Shirley was a graduate of Union High School and went on to work at Strouss-Kaufmanns for over 20 years. She married the late Vernon Buck on July 5th, 1957 with whom she spent over 50 years with, creating a life and building memories before his passing in 2008.

Shirley enjoyed traveling, especially to Aruba, loved country music, was a diehard Indians fan but her biggest joy in life was attending all her grandchildren and great grandchildren’s sporting events.

Shirley leaves behind to carry on her memory, her children, Richard Buck, James (Sue) Buck, Terry Buck, Larry (Peggy) Buck, Karen Buck, and Dennis (Lisa) Buck. Her grandchildren, Amanda (Jason) Young, Sarah (Jason) Majirsky, Tiffany Buck, Michelle Buck, Gene (Elyse) Buck, Julie (Michael) Bobino, Danielle Buck, and Rachael Buck. As well as her great grandchildren, Jackson Young, Bennett Young, Isaac Majirsky, Noah Majirsky, Jacob Majirsky, James Bobino, Luke Bobino, and B.B. Buck.

Shirley is preceded by her parents, her husband, as well as her 2 siblings, Joan Johnson and James Goodman.

Family and friends may call from 11am to 1pm on Friday December 20th, 2024 with a service to follow at Lane Funeral Homes- Austintown.
