Shirley I. Potter, 82 There will be a memorial service 4:00 p.m. Friday at Lane Family Funeral Homes, 5797 Mahoning Ave., Austintown Chapel for Shirley I. Potter, 82 of Austintown who died Thursday evening at her residence. Shirley was one of 16 children born to the late Joseph B. and Ethel M. (Harding) Hahn, Sr. and was a life long area resident. Shirley attended the The Rayen School and had worked for Packard Electric/Delphi for 31 years, retiring in 1999. Shirley loved playing the lottery and going to casinos. She leaves her two daughters, Pamela (Thomas) Raidel of Warren, Catherine "C.J." (Terence) Fogg of Austintown; one son, Gene A. Potter, Jr. of Girard; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. Shirley also leaves four sisters, Lois Wilson of California, Joan Patsy of Streetsboro, Carol (Bob) McCalment of Clermont, Florida, Sondra (Jack) Brace of Austintown; four brothers, Dean (Shirley) Hahn of Poland, David (Betty) Hahn of Cuyahoga Falls, Jack (Gloria) Hahn of Boardman and Norman (Julie) Hahn of Boardman and her beloved cat, Peanut. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Elzholz and six brothers, Earl, Robert, Billy, Warren, Joseph and an infant. Friends may call one hour prior to the services on Friday at the funeral home. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be sent to the family.
