Shirley Irene Gilmore, 65, of Warren passed away Monday May 24, 2010 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was born Oct. 10, 1944 in Trumbull County the daughter of the late David and Dolores (Stanberry) Westenfelder. Shirley was a 1961 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and always was a hard worker. She was a former bookkeeper for Richman Brothers clothing store and for 20 years operated Shirley’s Beauty Salon from her home. She also owned Cameo Beauty Supply Co. and for the past 23 years was bookkeeper for Larry’s Super Pawn which she co-founded with her husband. She was full of energy and enthusiasm and loved gardening, crafts, and going dancing with her husband every Friday night. She kept a beautiful home and thoroughly enjoyed decorating and remodeling, but her greatest joy came from spending time with her family. Survivors include her loving husband Larry A. Gilmore Sr. with whom she celebrated her golden wedding anniversary on May 21, 4 children, Janice (William) Dye of Warren, Larry (Chrstine) Jr. of Cortland, Denise (Glenn) Talstein of Warren, and Ronald (Rebecca) of Cortland. She also leaves 9 grandchildren; Adonis, Melena, Christopher, Kevin, Tyler, Kayla, Brooke, Zeb, Courtnie, a sister Karen (Archie) MacCrae of Phoenix, AZ, several nieces and nephews and her dog “Lily Belle”. She was preceded in death by a sister Pamela Michleg. Her brother David Westenfelder and sister Wanda “Wendy” Frost died with her in the accident. Funeral services will be 11: 00 AM Friday May 28, 2010 at Roberts Clark Chapel where friends will be received from 6-8 PM Thursday. The Rev. Carl Kish will officiate. The Rev. Charles Crumbley will conduct a prayer service 8:00 PM Thursday. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
