Sid Case

Sid Case of Cortland, Ohio, made his debut in the bass section of heaven’s choir on Saturday, October 3rd, just a few days shy of his 83rd birthday.
A lifelong Ohioan, Case was born in Pierpont OH and attended Kent State University, where he met his wife Mary, who preceded him in death seven years ago.
While Superintendent and Engineer with Packard Electric, Sid’s true passion was music. He played multiple instruments, was president of the KSU band, directed the choir of Cortland United Methodist Church for many years, and gave private lessons well into his 70’s.
Sid is survived by his sister Gloria (Gary) and sons Brian (Kim) and Steve (Becky). He had three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be planned at a later date when safe gathering is possible. In place of flowers the family has asked for donations to the American Cancer Society in Sid’s name.
