Stanley J. Zaucha Sr., 93, of Warren, `passed away March 23, 2015, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital with his family by his side. Stanley was born August 13, 1921 in Upper Middletown, PA, a son of the late Albert and Mary (Orawitz) Zaucha. Stanley was a 1941 graduate from Warren G. Harding High School. During high school, he was a star baseball player, and was recruited for a minor league baseball team in St. Louis. Stanley worked for Denman Tire for 38 years, until he retired as a general supervisor in 1984. He loved sports, and enjoyed watching the Cleveland Browns and the Cleveland Indians. He was an avid reader and enjoyed his Western books and movies. Stanley was a member of First Church of the Nazarene in Warren, and a former member of Bolindale Church of the Nazarene, where he served as a board member and a Sunday school superintendent. He leaves behind two sons, Stanley J. (Bonnie) Zaucha Jr., of Cadillac, MI, Kenneth M. Zaucha, of Los Angles, California, two grandchildren, Chad (Christy) Zaucha, of Ojai, California, Wendy (Benjamin) Stuebs, of Kalamazoo, MI, a brother Ed Zaucha of Texas, and a sister Helen (Steve) Blazek, of Warren, Ohio Beside his parents, Stanley was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie (Balciar) Zaucha, whom he married June 7, 1946, died March 29, 2008. Two brothers, John Zaucha and Joe Zaucha, and two sisters, Ann Szymanski, and Mary Zaucha. The family will receive friends Thursday March 26, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m., at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Roberts- Clark Chapel, 180 Garfield Dr. NE Warren, OH 44484. Reverend Broe Davis will be officiating the service.
