Stanley M. Evans

Stanley M. Evans of formerly of Masury, died at 12:00 AM Tuesday at St. Paul’s Home in Greenville, PA. He was 82. Mr. Evans was born in Smethport, PA on July 17, 1922, a son of William R. and Rella Smith Evans Stanley was an electrician for Sharon Steel for over 27 years. He retired in 1984. Mr. Evans memberships included Retired United Steel Workers Union. In his spare time he loved, hunting, sports, and horses. His first wife, Ethel Mae (Cannon) Evans, whom he married Aug. 12, 1943, died Apr. 18, 1961. His second wife Dorothy Louise (Millikin) Evans, whom he married Nov. 22, 1963, died Sep. 20, 1997. Survivors include: 2 sons, Albert L. Evans of Greenville, PA, and Larry Evans of Mansfield, TX; 2 daughters, Rhoda Murchison of Panama City, FL, and Donna Hoffman of Masury, OH.; 1 sister, Reta Hedlon of Smethport, PA.; 10 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by: his parents; 2 sons, Ronald and Galen Evans; 1 brother, Richard Evans,; and 2 sisters, Ruth Bornholt and Agnes Black. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday at the Madasz Funeral Chapel, Brookfield, with Rev. Glenn Sadler, Pastor of St. Paul’s Home, Greenville, PA. Calling hours will be from 5-8 PM Friday at the funeral home, with calling hours one hour prior to service on saturday. Burial will be in Brookfield Twp. Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the donor’s choice.
