Stella Lynne Corlew

Stella Lynne Corlew, 61 of Austintown died early Tuesday morning at her residence after a six month battle with cancer. Stella was born October 15, 1957 in Warren, a daughter of William "Larry" and Stella (Brininger) Morford. She graduated from Pymatuning Valley High School in 1976, graduating 2nd in her class. Following graduation Stella served as a medic in the U.S. Army in Germany and received many awards from the military for her service. After her discharge from the Army, Stella remained in Germany for three years and toured Europe. She worked at Andover Industries holding many positions from material handler and supervisor, but most recently was working as a bookkeeper for Ramada in Austinburg. Stella had worked there for over 10 years until her illness. She enjoyed crocheting, making pot holders, blankets, scarves and hats and also doing cross stitch. Stella was an avid reader, especially murder mysteries. Besides her parents, she leaves her husband, Raymond Corlew whom she married March 12, 2016; a son, James D. Thomas of Ashtabula; a daughter, Lindsey J. Thomas of Fairport Harbor; four step-children, Mike (Carrie) Corlew of Bexley, Ohio, Matt (Melany) Corlew of London, OH, Meganne (Jon) Jarvis of Uniontown, OH and Marcus (Molly) Corlew of Austintown. Stella also leaves five grandchildren; a brother, Dennis L.(Cynthia) Morford of Cortland and a sister, Leitha (Janice Nichols) Morford of Andover. She was preceded in death by a brother, Jeffrey F. Morford. Private family services will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel.
