Howland – Stephen J. Chos, 79, passed away Thursday December 5, 2024 at Trumbull Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.
Stephen was born on June 22, 1945 in Myrtle Beach, SC, a son of the late Stephen N. and Katherine Ann Chos.
He was a 1963 Howland High School graduate and attended Youngstown State University. He joined the United States Air Force and served his country until he was honorably discharged as Sgt in 1967.
He married Lynda Hall at Woodland Park in McDonald on July 20, 2002, and they have been together for 22 years.
He was an Executive V.P. at the Automobile Dealers Association of Eastern Ohio for 26 years, United Way, branch manager, and commercial lending at Bank One downtown. While working at ADAEO he coordinated with the local dealers solicitation of live and silent auction items and proceeds benefited Make-A-Wish and Rich Center for Autism. Early in his career, he worked in various positions including a radio DJ, car sales, and sales manager at several local dealerships.
He enjoyed golfing and was a long-suffering Browns fan, Indians fan since 1950, and Ohio State Buckeyes fan.
Stephen will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Lynda (Hall) Chos; brother, David (Shaun) Chos of Chandler, AZ; nephews, retired Navy Capt. Jason (Aimee) Warner of Columbus, OH, Steve Chos, and Tony Chos of AZ; sister-in-law, Kitty (Rick) Hall Hodinka of SC, and Shelly (Denny) Hall McMahon of Olmstead Twp.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Kathy (Roger) Warner.
The family would like to send a big thank you to Mercy Home Health Care nurses, and physical and occupational therapists, his primary care physician Dr. Howard Slemons, Dr. Joseph Arters and the nursing staff at Mercy Health. Their care and concern was much appreciated.
Per Stephen’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or services. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Lane Family Funeral Homes Roberts-Clark Chapel in Warren was entrusted with the arrangements.
