Stephen J. Buila Jr.

Stephen John Buila Jr., of Cortland passed away unexpectedly on October 24, 2019. Originally from Mineral Ridge OH he was born on May 16, 1942 to the late Stephen & Mary Buila.

He graduated from Mineral Ridge High School in 1960 then honorably served for two years in the US Army. He was a dedicated employee of Packard Electric for 34 years. He was a loyal husband, hard worker, proud gardener, and overall good man. He also enjoyed Sinatra-era music, woodworking and projects with his children & grandchildren. He was an amazing family man. His positive influence will always be with us and he will be greatly missed.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 49 years Cynthia (Kasula), son Stephen III & Elizabeth (Kiefer) and grandsons Evan (12) & Keaton (8), daughter Danielle & John (Hoza) and granddaughter Maggie (11), brothers Edward & Michael, as well as other family and friends. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Shirley and his in-laws John & Teresa Kasula.

Calling hours be held on Saturday November 2nd from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at Lane Funeral Homes, Shafer-Winans Chapel, Cortland where a funeral service will be immediately following at 12:00 noon.
