Steve Pohuski

Niles- Funeral services will be held 11 AM Sat. at the Lane Funeral Home-Mineral Ridge Chapel for Steve Pohuski age 85 of 2210 Parkway Dr., Niles who died Wed. morning at Briarfield at Ashley Pl. Steve was born Dec. 23, 1917 in Black Lick Pa. and was the son of Frank and Mary (Zacaria) Pohuski. He had been a carpenter for various contractors in the area for 61 years. He had served in the U.S. Navy during WWII, was a member of Carpenters Local #922 in Butler, Pa. and loved camping, fishing and the outdoors. Steve is survived by his wife Henrietta (Reese) Pohuski whom he married April 10, 1939. He also leaves a daughter Marlene Weimer with whom he made his home with before going to the nursing home, two sons Larry Pohuski of Niles, Rodney Pohuski of New Galilee, Pa., a sister Helen Johnson of Canfield, OH, two brothers, Peter Pohuski of Downing, FL, Paul Pohuski of Catonsville, MD, 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Steve was preceded in death by a sister Mary Pentzer and 2 brothers Alex and Charles Pohuski. Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 PM Friday and 1 hour prior to services on Sat. at the funeral home.
