Terrence Thomas Mcgee

A memorial service will be held at 7:00 PM on Sunday (December 12) at the Canfield United Methodist Church for Terence Thomas McGee, who passed away suddenly at St. Elizabeth’s Health Center on Saturday, November 27. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Terry was born April 30, 1933 in Manchester, England the son of Michael and Mary Ann (Barker) McGee. He was a graduate of the College of Fylde in Blackpool England and Manchester University in Manchester, England. He came to this country in 1957 and lived in Langhorne PA for twenty years before moving to Mullica Hill, NJ and finally to the Mahoning Valley three years ago. Terence served as the vice president of sales for Aramark Services in Philadelphia for many years and enjoyed working for Methodist Country House in Wilmington DE. He was also the owner and operator of the Nicholas Waln House Bed and Breakfast in Langhorne, PA as well as Elizabeth’s of Mullica Hill Antiques and Country Crafts Store in Mullica Hill, NJ. Terence was actively involved in the historical preservation of homes in Bucks County, PA and in Mullica Hills, NJ. He was an expert in woodworking and restored two homes built in the 1680’s. He was a member of the Zoning Board in Mullica Hills until 2001. He was also active in the Langhorne and Canfield United Methodist Churches serving on many boards and especially liked helping with the Annual Canfield Turkey Dinner in Canfield. He is survived by three daughters: Lisa and her husband Mark Zetts of Canfield, Attorney Tracy and her husband Peder af Geijerstam-Lindberg of Stockhom Sweden, and Elizabeth McGee of Washington, DC. He is also survived by five grandchildren: Michael, Stephen and Kathryn Zetts, Tatiana and Liliana af Geijerstam-Lindberg. His mother- in- law Elizabeth Boone of Marco Island FL, and a brother Michael (Sheila) McGee of Bare Morcambe, England also survive as well as a cousin Joan (Dennis) Linaker of North Bay, Canada. On February 7, 2002, Terence was preceded in death by his wife, the former Virginia Lee Boone whom he married in 1958. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to either the Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Home at 9111 Sharrot Rd, Poland OH. 44514 the Canfield United Methodist Church at 27 S. Broad St. Canfield, OH 44406 or to Angels for Animals at 4750 State Route 165 Canfield, OH 44406.
