Theodore Mccarl "Terry" Martin

November 10, 1936 — February 10, 2019

Warren - Theodore "Terry" McCarl Martin Jr., 82, went to be with his Lord on Sunday evening, February 10, 2019 at Windsor House at Armstrong Memory Care Assisted Living in Champion, OH; where he had been under the loving attention of family and Crossroads Hospice. Terry was born on November 10, 1936 in Chester, W. VA., the youngest child of Theodore Martin Sr. and Laura Jean (Kell) Martin. He grew up in Chester, graduating from Chester HS where he was the boy who was prom king and basketball hero. A carpenter by trade, he built houses, designed and built kitchens, owned Kitchen Trends Quaker Maid cabinet shop and was always enjoying his hobby antique cars. He retired from his shop, Martin Carriage House, where he built and restored wooden-bodied cars for customers across the country. A founding member and President Emeritus of the National Packard Museum he was proud of its growth into a world class collection. He was a member of Champion Presbyterian Church and Gideons International, never ashamed to share the Gospel of his savior Jesus Christ. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Dorothy "Dot" Martin; his children, Linda (Bill) Kanche, John Martin and fianc Pearl Kress, Terra (Joe) DiGiovanni, and Dots son Mickey (Karen) Phillips; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Along his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Lorna May; second wife, Diana; and sisters, Marian, Lois, Ruth Ann and brother, David. Family and friends may visit from 4-7:00PM on Tuesday February 12, 2019 at Lane Family Funeral Homes Roberts-Clark Chapel at 180 Garfield Dr. NE in Warren; and one hour prior to services from 10-11:00AM at Champion Presbyterian Church with services following at 11:00AM. Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery in Warren. Memorial contributions may be made in Terrys memory to Champion Presbyterian Church, Gideons International, or The National Packard Museum at 1899 Mahoning Ave. NW Warren, OH 44483.
