Thomas A. Kidd

Thomas A. Kidd, 65, of Boardman, passed away Sunday, July 9th at the Cleveland Clinic. Tom was born July 7, 1952 in Youngstown, a son of Harry W. and Alice Rowlinson Kidd. Tom was a Computer systems developer in several locations in NE Ohio, retiring in 2014. He was a 1970 graduate of The Rayen School and served his country in the U.S. Airforce. Tom was of the Lutheran Faith. Tom was a member of Western Star Lodge No. 21 F & A.M., where he served as Worshipful Master in 1996, 2006 and 2012; a member of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite-Valley of Youngstown, where he served as Most Wise Master of Youngstown Chapter of Rose Croix and Thrice Potent Master of Hiram Lodge of Perfection; a member of York Rite bodies in Youngstown, Youngstown Chapter No. 93 Royal Arch Masons, Buechner Council No. 107 Royal and Select Masons and St. John's Commandery No. 20 Knights Templar. Tom was also a member of the Aut Mori Grotto in Youngstown and the Civil War Lodge of Research No. 1863 of Virginia. Tom enjoyed reading and playing golf and was a history volunteer at Mill Creek Park. Tom is survived by his wife of 40 years, the former Lynn D. Fennessey, whom he married Aug. 7, 1976; his sons, Christopher T. Kidd of Las Vegas, NV and Jeffrey M. Kidd of Ann Arbor, MI; his brother, Harry B. Kidd of Kensington, MD and his sister, Margaret "Peggy" R. (Frank) Allen of Tallahassee, FL. Besides his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Alice Livingood. There will be a Masonic Service, conducted by Western Star Lodge No. 21 F & A.M. at 7 p.m. Friday at the Lane Family Funeral Homes-Anstrom Chapel, 8387 Tod Ave. in Boardman, where friends may call from 4-7 p.m. prior to the Service.
