Thomas Richard Martin

Berlin Center- Thomas Richard "Tom" Martin, age 76, passed away Tuesday evening, August 28, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Thomas was born April 7, 1942 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Richard and Evelyn (Kuenzel) Martin. He was a 1960 graduate of Cathedral Latin High School. Tom retired from General Motors Lordstown Assembly with 38 years of service. He was a member of UAW 1112. Tom was a beekeeper, he enjoyed the outdoors, he was an avid hunter, fisherman, and trapper. He also enjoyed spending time with his family. Besides his parents, Tom is preceded in death by his sister Mary Ann Martin. He will be forever missed by his wife of 49 years, the former Joyce Wheelock, who he married November 29, 1969; his children, Tom (Liz) Martin, Michelle (Chad) Haney, and Jackie Martin. He leaves a brother Rich (Brenda) Martin, and six grandchildren Jacob, Nicholas, Emily, Ella, Addisyn, and Owen. Toms request was for no calling hours or services, cremation has taken place.
