Twila May Phillips, 85, of Warren, passed away April 20, 2014 at the Community Skilled Nursing Center in Warren. Twila was born June 18, 1928 in Warren to Amerigo and Mabel (Vail) Bettine. She was a member of the Tod Heights Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Twila enjoyed spending hours teaching others about the Bible, the resurrection hope and her God, Jehovah. She enjoyed watching the Cleveland Indians on TV with her son and grandsons. She will always be known for her hospitality and generosity. Coffee was always on, a coke in the fridge and cookies in the cupboard. She was very proud of her family and their spiritual accomplishments. Twila retired as a manager from Lawson's Dairy Mart in 2009 after 40 years of service. She is survived by one son, David A. Phillips of Warren; four grandchildren, Heather (Eric) Heib, Brian (Carly) Phillips, Eric (Nikki) Phillips and Neil (Amanda) Phillips; one great grand daughter, Gianessa Phillips and one sister, Evelyn Consider of Florida and numerous family members in Florida and California. She was preceded in death by her husband Gabriel; two daughters, Catherine and Shirley Phillips and her parents and half sister, Ann Buser. A memorial service will be held 5:00 PM Sunday at the Tod Heights Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, 3555 Tod Ave, NW Warren, OH 44485. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. A private interment was held in the Crown Hill Burial Park in Vienna. The family wishes to thank MVI Hospice and Community Skilled Nursing Center for their caring support.
