Funeral services will be held 11 AM Wednesday at Berlin Center United Methodist Church for Mr. Urban R. (Bud) Young, 75, who passed away Sunday morning at his residence following a three week illness. Mr. Young was born March 27, 1927 in Berlin Center, the son of Frank A. and Lena (Kille) Young Sr. A WWII Army veteran, Bud retired in 1982 from the Adsco Corp. in Lordstown. He had also been employed at North American Rockwell Corp. and Cain Sawmill in Berlin Center. After retirement Bud worked at the Lakeside Golf course. He was a member of the church, American Legion Post 737 of Lake Milton, former member of the Berlin Center Fire Dept., and had coached Hot Stove Baseball for 10 years. Besides his wife, Bertha (Lucy) Grondeski, whom he married April 14, 1956, he leaves four children, Mark A. and wife, YonCha Young of Apex NC., Michael A. Young of Salem, Martin A. Young of North Olmsted, and Marie A. Young at home, five sisters, Dorothy Cain and Mary Eshler of Berlin Center, Elma Iddlings of Beloit, Thelma Penrod of Decatur, IL., and Edith Hetrick of Sebring, one brother, Paul Young of Brownwood, TX, five grandchildren, Matthew, Zack, Mary C., Laura R. and Jordan L. Young. He was preceded in death by his sister, Florence Talbot and two brothers, Frank and Elmer Young. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM Tuesday at the Lane Funeral Home, Canfield Chapel and one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.
