Veronica M. Rushwin, 87 YOUNGSTOWN-Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday June 27th at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Anstrom Chapel, Boardman for Veronica M. Rushwin, 87 of Youngstown who died early Thursday morning at Hampton Woods Care Center. Veronica was born August 5, 1927 in Youngstown, a daughter of the late John and Mildred Barich and was a lifelong area resident. She graduated from Chaney High School and was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Veronica was a homemaker and was a wonderful cook. She enjoyed baking and made a delicious kolachi. She loved flowers and had been a member of a garden club years ago. Her husband, Thomas Rushwin, Jr. whom she married October 31, 1948, died April 3, 1983. She leaves two daughters, Mabel Westrem of Youngstown, Karen (Edward) Slabe of Columbus; her son, James T. Rushwin of Dacula, Georgia; four grandchildren, Thomas (Stephanie) Rushwin of Cumming, Georgia, James (Ashlee) Rushwin of Villa Rica, Georgia, Jeffrey (Jenn) Westrem of Struthers, Jason (Traci) Westrem of Boardman; two great-grandchildren, Landon Rushwin of Cumming, Georgia and Jase Westrem of Struthers. Besides her parents and her husband, Veronica was preceded in death by two brothers, John Barich and Steve Barich. Friends may call on Saturday at Lane Funeral Home from 9:00 10:00 a.m.
