Vincent H. Steinbeiser

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9 AM Saturday, January 19, 2019 at St. Marys Church for Vincent H. Steinbeiser, 77, of Mineral Ridge. Vince passed away Wednesday morning, January 16, 2019 at Select Specialty Hospital at St. Josephs. He was born September 16, 1941 in Tyrone, PA the son of Albert Sr. and Clara (Smith) Steinbeiser. Vince served his country from 1961 until 1965 in the Air Force. He retired in 2002 from Packard Electric / Delphi where he worked for 36 years as a supervisor. Vince was an active member of St. Marys Church in Mineral Ridge and served as a member of the church council. He was also a member of its Mens Club. His hobbies included hunting, golfing, playing cards, going to the casino, and trips to Myrtle Beach. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. Vince leaves his wife of 41 years, the former Delores Peltz, whom he married July 9, 1977. He also leaves seven sisters, Jeannie (Rich) Tomlison of York, PA., Alma Gracey, of Hollidaysberd, PA., Alberta (Sandy) Naylor of Altoona, PA., Kay (Randy) Diehl of Warriors Mark, PA., Gloria (Ken) Kraus of Altoona, PA., Barbara (Steve) Diehl of Warriors Mark, PA., and Mona Steinbeiser of Pittsburgh, five brothers, Albert "Skip", Leo, Mark, and Cletus Steinbeiser all of Altoona, and Norman Steinbeiser of Colorado Springs, CO., as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. Vince was preceded in death by his parents. Friends may call from 4 to 7 PM Friday at the Lane Funeral Home, Mineral Ridge Chapel where closing prayers will take place at 8:20 AM on Saturday and a mass will start at 9 AM Saturday at St. Marys Church. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to St. Marys Church in Vinces name. The family would like to thank the staff of Select Specialty Hospital at St. Josephs for all the care, love and support given Vince and his family during his stay.
