Virginia Mae Hendricks, 97 Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Lane Family Funeral Homes, 65 N. Broad Street, Canfield Chapel for Virginia Mae Hendricks, 97, of Canfield who died Sunday afternoon at her residence. Virginia was born August 3, 1921 in Chester, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Alvin and Lelia Thelma (Adams) Clifford. She was a member of Canfield Christian Church, where she served as an Elder, Deaconess, Sunday school teacher and many other positions. Virginia was also a member of the Canfield AARP and the Rebekah Lodge #155. Her husband, Lester Hendricks, whom she married October 20, 1941, died July 2, 1986. She leaves her son, Gary Hendricks (Hector Huitz) of Washington D.C.; her daughter, Shirley (David) Metzger of Canfield; and her son, Bradley Hendricks of Tampa, Florida; three grandchildren, Aubrey Hendricks, Allison (Jon Trumbull) Hendricks and Jason (Megan) Samora and two great-grandchildren, Ziva Samora and Priya Samora. Virginia also leaves a sister-in-law, Donna Helmick and step-brother, Glenn (Mary) Wilcox. Besides her parents and her husband, Virginia was preceded in death by her step-mother, Estella Clifford; a brother, Robert Clifford and a step-brother, Arthur Wilcox. Friends may call from 11am-1pm Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home. The family requests material tributes take the form of contributions to the memorial fund of Canfield Christian Church, 123 S. Broad Street, Canfield, OH 44406.
