POLAND----Funeral services will be held 11 AM Thursday at the Lane Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel, for Mr. Walter A. Killius, 75 of 2085 Manor Ave, who died Sunday afternoon at St. Elizabeth Health Care Center following complications from Emphysema. Mr. Killius was born January 10, 1927 in Youngstown, the son of Walter E. and Carolyn P. Meyers Killius and was a lifelong area resident. Walter had been employed as Chief Clerk in the printing department of Youngstown Sheet and Tube 23 ½ years and had also worked 10 years with the D. D. Davis Construction Co. He was a member and Past Master of Western Star F & AM #21 in 1968, a member of the Aut Mori Grotto and Past Most Wise Master of the Youngstown Rose Croix Chapter in 1976. He attended East High School and was an Army Air Corp. veteran of WWII. Walter is survived by his wife, the former Frances Griffitts, whom he married August 27, 1947, two sons, Drew (Linda) Killius of Derry, NH and David (Jeanette) Killius of Kent, OH, two sisters, Cecelia Clair of Warren and Laura Lohr of Cleveland, two brothers, Charles Killius of Florida and James Killius of Youngstown, two granddaughters, Jennifer Killius and Lisa La Blond. Friends may call from 5 to 8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Western Star Lodge will have services 7:45 PM Wednesday. The family requests that memorial tributes take the form of donations to the American Lung Assoc.
