Walter John Krezeczowski Jr., age 68, of Niles, passed away at the Pittsburgh VA Medical Center on Monday, March, 4, 2024 at 12:55 PM. He was attended by his family in his final days.
Walter was born in Youngstown, Ohio on November 13, 1955, to Walter John Sr. and Norma (McGraw) Krezeczowski. He grew up in McKinley Heights and attended Niles City Schools. He worked for U.S. Steel in Youngstown for 3 years then he served in the U.S. Navy for 7 months as an E1 Boatswain Mate at sea for 5 months on USS Sylvania AFS-2. He was a drywall and carpenter journeyman in Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania and was a loyal Pittsburgh Union Carpenter Local 432 member. He was an avid buy/sell/trade entrepreneur and lover of the outdoors and sports.
He is survived by his brothers Alan, Mark, and Ronnie Krezeczowski. Also, his wife Danuta (Gryziak) and their sons Zarek, Bolek, Waldek, and Elek, and children Ryan Gray, Nathan Went, Lori Henary, Marianne Landfried, Kristy Krafft, Sara Beck, Walter Krezeczowski III, and Stanley Krezeczowski. He will be greatly missed by his 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father and his brother Donnie.
A graveside service and interment will be held at 1:45 PM Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery 10175 Rawiga Rd. Seville, OH 44273. The family is in the care of Lane Funeral Home, Roberts-Clark Chapel. Online condolences can be made at www.lanefuneralhomes.com
