Services celebrating the life of Wanda Eloise Ruggles will be held at 11am Friday at the First Federated Church in North Jackson. Wanda was born September 18, 1919 in Altitude, Ohio the daughter of Wesley and Lula (Lude) Dierkes. Wanda was a lifelong resident of North Jackson where she was active in her community, church and North Jackson Firemans Auxiliary. She was a registered nurse who worked at the Mahoning County TB Sanatorium as well at the TB Health Clinic and the Paisley House in Youngstown. Wanda loved to garden, quilt and bake but most of all she loved being with her family. She will be missed by her children; Gary (Paula) Ruggles of North Jackson, Gayle (John) Peterson of Virginia, Myrna (Bob) Osner of Austintown, sister Edith Truitt of Berlin Center, grandchildren; Gary (Geo) Ruggles, Bill and Nicole Ruggles, Lori and Joe Kolenick, Matt and Michelle (Bates) Peterson, Jason and Jessie (Sessions) Peterson, Heather Osner and Tony Atway, Bob and Chris Osner- Hackett and and Rich and Krista Petrock. She also leaves her great grandchildren; Josie, Alyssa, Johnny, Anthony, Luke, Anna, Ella, Ila, Ada, Gavin, Sarah, Natalie, Cai and Ava. Wanda was preceded in death by her husband Earl F. Ruggles whom she married September 12, 1943 and who died August 2, 2005, sisters; Esther Graham, Joan Miller Coppinger, Martha Ryser and brothers; Robert, James, David and Paul Dierkes. Family and friends may call from 5-8pm Thursday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel. The Ruggles family requests that memorial tributes take the form of donations to the church Renovation Fund in Wandas memory.
