Wanda Jane Snoddy, 83 of Lehigh Acres, Florida, formerly of Canfield passed away Tuesday morning, September 17, 2024 at St. Elizabeth/Mercy Health Center, Boardman. Wanda was born January 15, 1941 in Mars, PA, a daughter of the late Wayne and Pearl (Kelly) Shorts.
Wanda attended Mt. Union College where she studied music. She was very accomplished on the piano and organ, as well as vocal participation in area churches. She had taught piano for many years. She was an avid golfer and looked forward to golfing with her family. She also enjoyed gardening and quilting.
Wanda had been the office manager for various doctors in the Salem area for 15 years and most recently had worked for Dr. Sinkovic in Salem, where she retired.
Most precious to Wanda was her family and she will be dearly missed by her husband, David G. Snoddy, whom she married November 6, 1958; three sons, David D. (Krista) Snoddy of Salem, Mark A. Snoddy of Columbus, Ryan D. (Nancy) Snoddy of Salem, seven grandchildren, Cassi (Mark) Traetow, Erica Snoddy, Taylor Snoddy, Brian (Jackie) Snoddy, Katlyn Snoddy, Michael Snoddy, Makaya Snoddy and six great grandchildren. Wanda also leaves two sisters, Ann Markley of West Salem, Helen Finley of Ashland; two brothers, Ralph Shorts of West Salem and Russell Shorts of Mansfield. Besides her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Shorts.
Private services have been held for the family.
