Warner S. Bacak

Funeral services will be held 12:00 noon Saturday at the Lane Funeral Home, Mineral Ridge Chapel for Warner S. Bacak of Mineral Ridge who died Monday morning. Warner was born June 2, 1928 in Youngstown, OH. A son of Stephen M. and Edith (Pallo) Bacak. He was a member of the John Hus Lutheran Church; the Telephone Pioneers of America; and the Mineral Ridge Boosters. He was a 1946 graduate of Chaney High School where he participated in tennis, the Debate Team, and the Drama Club. He was employed by Ohio Bell and A T & T 42 years retiring as a supervisor in 1989. He is survived by his wife the former Genevieve P. Fleisher whom he married Feb. 7, 1948; 11 children Helene Gordon of Hartford, Genevieve McGarvey of Texas City, TX, Edith Brown of Howland, Trudy Philipp of Rosco, IL, Stephen of Niles, Warner of Howland, Mark of Pelham, AL, Frederick of Mineral Ridge, John of Roanoke, TX, Bruce and Joseph both of Mineral Ridge; 28 Grandchildren; and 4 Great Grandchildren. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. The family request material triibutes take the form of donations to Hospice of the Valley or the American Cancer Society.
