Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Saturday at New Road Church in Austintown Township for Wayne R. Culp, 77, who passed away early Thursday morning at the Woodlands at Austinwoods. Wayne was born May 19, 1940 in Youngstown the son of Lawrence and Edna (Kornbau) Culp. He was a lifelong area resident and was a graduate of Canfield High School. Wayne retired from Christy Armory National Guard in 2002 where he worked in the maintenance department. He attended New Road Church. His hobbies included walking, biking, playing basketball, working on puzzles, fixing things and working on cars. Wayne leaves his wife the former Connie Mitchell, whom he married February 20, 1965, one son Rodney (Shelly) Culp of Austintown and one daughter Vinda Culp of Newton Falls and one grandson Cole Frederick of McDonald. Wayne also leaves one sister Glendora Senvisky of Austintown, four brothers, Charles Culp of KY., Kenneth of CA., Larry Culp of Sebring, and Malvern Culp of Austintown. Besides his parents Wayne is preceded in death by three sisters, Eloise Culp, Martha Shepard, and Evelyn Cavanaugh. Friends may call 10 AM until 11 AM at the New Road Church where services will begin at 11 AM.
