Wilfred C. Beitzel

Private graveside services were held for Wilfred C. Beitzel, 80, of New Philadelphia, formerly of Canfield, who passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at Truman House, a hospice facility near his home. Wilfred was born in New Philadelphia on September 12, 1938 the son of Oliver and Erma (Gerber) Beitzel. He graduated from Youngstown State University. With a degree in Computer Science and worked in Administration at Ohio Edison. Wilfred was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and served in the Korean War where he earned several medals and served with distinction. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He leaves behind children, grandchildren, and extended family and friends at the VFW. Wilfred was laid tor rest in the family plot at Canfield Cemetery in Canfield, Ohio .
