VIENNA- William Orvus Cramer, Jr., 83, surrounded by his family, passed peacefully and went to be with the Lord on Wednesday evening, April 5, 2017 at the Louis Stokes VA Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. He was born on June 14, 1933, son of the late William and Marie Cramer, in Vienna, Ohio where he was a lifelong resident. William grew up in Vienna, Ohio with his parents and late sister, Clara, where he attended and graduated from Mathews High School in 1951. William united in holy matrimony with his beloved wife, the late Doris Ann Vestal Cramer, on December 13, 1952. They shared the love of singing, attending church and traveling in their 55 years together. Early in their marriage, William enlisted in the United States Army where he served his country and fought as a Master Sgt. and gunman in the Korean War, until he was honorably discharged with awards in 1961. Throughout his life, William enjoyed lawn mowing, fishing, camping, and had a love of cannons. William is survived by his children, Doris (Mike) Cramer, William Cramer III, and Thomas (Mary) Cramer; 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and many other people who he treated like his own grandchildren. William has joined in Heaven, his wife of 55 wonderful years, Doris "Dodie Ann" Vestal Cramer who preceded him in death on September 24, 2008;his parents; son, William Cramer II, and sister, Clara (Earl) Black. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Sunday, April 9, 2017 at the Lane Funeral Homes, Madasz Chapel, 6923 Warren Sharon Road, Brookfield, Ohio from 1:00 to 3:00 PM.
