William "Allen" Chubb

William Allen Chubb, 50, passed away unexpectedly at his home on January 25, 2019. Allen was born on August 28, 1968 in Del Rio, Texas to James & Barbara (Sidor) Chubb. Allen graduated from Lakeview High School in 1986 and completed his Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice at Youngstown State University. He started his career working with ALCOA before taking a position with SCDOT where he was a Geodetic Technician. He loved to play golf and was on several leagues. He looked forward to his annual golfing trips with his buddies. Allen was an avid sports fan. He was devoted to the Cleveland teams and loved the Ohio State Buckeyes. Allen lived his life with no excuses; embracing every day. He was a kind and generous soul who was a loving son, brother and friend, and most importantly a dedicated and caring uncle. He valued the memories and experiences they shared. Private services will be held. Allen is survived by his mother Barbara Chubb; his sister Amy (Mike) Szydlowski; his niece Gabrielle Szydlowski and his nephew Jonathan Szydlowski. He was preceded in death by his father, James, in 2018. Memorial donations in Allens honor may be made to your favorite local animal rescue.
